My name is Don Hanson III, and I am the owner of Sunfish Forge. As a full-time bladesmith, I have been creating different types of handmade custom knives since 1991. These include:
Sunfish Forge
Using a power hammer, I am able to forge my own Damascus steel. I also forge W2 tool steel to make my knives.
Additionally, I have sole authorship of all my knives. I make them one at a time to ensure the utmost quality. In fact, my current backlog for orders covers more than three years. I have been an ABS Mastersmith (American Bladesmith Society) since 2007.
